About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven QA Leader to lead and scale our centralized Quality Assurance organization in India. This role will oversee a team of QA Automation Engineers and Manual Testers, drive an automation-first culture, standardize QA processes, improve quality metrics, and champion AI-powered testing practices across multiple product lines.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with deep expertise in test automation, QA governance, Agile delivery, and modern software quality practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA Automation Engineers, Manual Testers, and QA Leads.
- Drive adoption of an automation-first testing strategy using modern frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Establish and enforce QA standards, processes, and best practices across multiple product teams.
- Own QA operational metrics including automation coverage, defect escape rate, test execution velocity, and release readiness.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
- Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Promote and implement AI-assisted testing practices to improve productivity and testing efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration, resource planning, capacity management, and QA delivery execution.
- Drive accessibility, performance, functional, integration, and regression testing initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement through coaching, process optimization, and quality governance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 5 years in QA leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing large QA teams (20+ members) across automation and manual testing functions.
- Strong expertise in test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, Aqua, Xray, or similar.
- Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and modern software development methodologies.
- Experience defining and managing QA KPIs and quality metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading QA teams across multiple products, business units, or shared services environments.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow, Reqnroll, or Cucumber.
- Experience with AI-powered testing tools and AI-assisted quality engineering practices.
- Familiarity with accessibility testing standards (WCAG) and performance testing methodologies.
- ISTQB or relevant QA certifications are a plus.
