As a Project Manager at IOS, you will take complete ownership of high-end corporate and institutional furniture installation projects from initial kickoff to final client handover. You will bridge the gap between manufacturing factories, design teams, corporate clients (such as JP Morgan, Amazon, Wipro), and local PMCs/Architects. The ideal candidate ensures that custom modular workstations and commercial furniture are delivered On-Time and In-Full (OTIF) while maintaining strict quality and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of commercial furniture fit-out and corporate workstation projects.
- Create comprehensive project timelines, resource plans, and track milestones from delivery to site installation.
- Review site readiness, spatial layouts, and engineering drawings (AutoCAD/Sketchup) to prevent alignment errors during installation.
2. Site & Installation Management
- Supervise on-site installation teams and technicians handling modular workstations, partitions, and corporate setups.
- Conduct frequent site visits to assess installation quality, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure compliance with design standards.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) on-site to maintain workplace safety and strict execution discipline.
3. Vendor & Factory Coordination
- Coordinate with the internal IOS modular manufacturing units to ensure custom hardware (e.g., Hettich, Blum, Hafele) and raw materials meet site deadlines.
- Track raw material readiness, production delays, finishing benchmarks, and dispatch logistics.
4. Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate client facility managers, architects, and Project Management Consultants (PMCs).
- Provide regular progress updates, address client feedback, and manage change-order documentation proactively.
- Drive project closure, including managing warranties, collecting client sign-offs, and submitting final cost sheets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Graduate/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Wood Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 3 to 7+ years of experience in commercial interior execution, corporate fit-outs, or modular furniture project management.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial furniture systems (metal extrusions, ply, laminates, and hardware brands like Ebco, Blum, Hafele).
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with MS Project, AutoCAD, or Excel for project tracking and cost sheet formulation.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation capabilities, strong problem-solving skills under tight corporate timelines, and a resilient, collaborative attitude.
