UI/UX Product Designer Intern (Contract)
Job Overview
DEZAI is looking for a passionate, creative, and driven UI/UX Product Designer Intern (Contract) to join our Product Design team. This is a remote, contract-based internship where you'll work on real production products that power DEZAI's AI-driven Micro credential platform.
As an intern, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, AI specialists, and leadership to design intuitive, engaging, and scalable user experiences. You'll contribute directly to products used by students, universities, businesses, and organizations worldwide.
This is not a shadowing internship you'll take ownership of meaningful design projects, contribute to production-ready features, participate in product discussions, and help shape the future of AI-powered education.

Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, modern, and visually appealing user interfaces using Figma.
- Create wireframes, user flows, journey maps, low-fidelity concepts, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Design responsive experiences for desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
- Design dashboards for students, instructors, universities, enterprises, and administrators.
- Build seamless user experiences across DEZAI's AI-powered MicroCredential platform.
- Design AI-powered interfaces including AI Mentor, AI Assessments, AI Feedback, Learning Paths, and Progress Tracking.
- Develop and maintain scalable design systems, reusable components, and UI libraries.
- Create interactive prototypes for user testing and stakeholder demonstrations.
- Conduct UX research and usability testing to improve user experience.
- Collaborate closely with frontend and backend engineers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Ensure consistency, accessibility, and usability across all products.
- Participate in product planning, design critiques, brainstorming sessions, and Agile sprint meetings.
- Document design decisions and maintain organized design files.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in UI/UX Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong understanding of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) principles.
- Experience using Figma.
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, spacing, layouts, and visual hierarchy.
- Familiarity with responsive web and mobile design.
- Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently within a remote team environment.

Performance-Based Compensation
This is a contract-based internship with a performance-driven growth model.
There is no fixed stipend or guaranteed monthly payment. Instead, interns are evaluated regularly using a structured Product Design performance framework.
