Job Description: Engineer – Design, 3D Printing & Paint Shop

Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering (or relevant technical certifications)
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Junior Engineer to join our manufacturing and prototyping team. This unique role bridges digital design, advanced additive manufacturing (3D printing), and post-production surface finishing.
As a trainee/junior engineer, you will receive hands-on exposure to creating print-ready vector artwork, operating industrial FDM 3D printers with engineering materials, and executing surface preparation, coating, and quality control processes in our paint shop environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Design & Pre-Press (2D & 3D Drafting)
· Learn and create vector layouts, alignments, and print-ready designs using CorelDRAW for UV DTF printing.
· Assist in creating basic 2D drawings and technical modifications using AutoCAD or related 3D modeling software (Fusion 360/SolidWorks).
· Prepare and optimize files for production, ensuring correct scale, tolerances, and layers.
2. 3D Printing Operation & Slicing
· Convert CAD models into STL/3MF files and utilize slicing software to set printing parameters (layer height, speed, infill, shell count).
· Operate FDM 3D printers to fabricate parts utilizing diverse materials such as TPU, Nylon, and PETG.
· Perform basic machine startup checks, bed leveling, calibration, and routine preventive maintenance.
3. Paint Shop Operations & Surface Finishing
· Execute post-processing on printed and fabricated parts, including support removal, scraping, and detailed surface sanding.
· Prepare surfaces for painting by applying body fillers, primers, and ensuring components are completely free of contaminants.
· Assist in paint mixing, checking viscosity, and operating spray equipment/booths to achieve flawless finishes.
· Identify surface and coating defects (e.g., orange peel, runs, dust contamination) and carry out corrective actions.
Skills & Competencies Required
· Software Awareness: Basic operational knowledge of CorelDRAW and AutoCAD (Academic projects or certification courses are a major plus).
· Technical Familiarity: Conceptual understanding of FDM 3D printing processes and basic polymer material properties (TPU, PETG, Nylon).
· Surface Finishing Knowledge: Foundational understanding of paint shop operations, industrial coatings, or mechanical surface preparation.
· Core Aptitude: Strong spatial awareness, attention to structural detail, and excellent mechanical troubleshooting logic.
· Behavioral Traits: High learnability, a positive attitude toward taking feedback, and an eagerness to perform hands-on shop floor activities.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
