Job Summary
Pattabhi Agro Foods Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Maintenance Head (Mechanical) to lead the plant maintenance function. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability, minimizing downtime, improving plant reliability, and leading a high-performing maintenance team while maintaining world-class safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the complete mechanical maintenance operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Ensure preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance is carried out effectively.
- Improve machine uptime and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
- Plan and execute annual maintenance schedules and shutdown activities.
- Troubleshoot critical mechanical failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Manage utilities, compressors, boilers, conveyors, elevators, bucket systems, gearboxes, pumps, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Implement TPM, Lean Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) practices.
- Monitor maintenance costs and optimize spare parts inventory.
- Coordinate with Production, Projects, Procurement, Stores, and Quality departments.
- Ensure statutory compliance related to plant maintenance and engineering activities.
- Develop maintenance SOPs, checklists, and documentation.
- Lead, train, and mentor the maintenance team to improve technical competency and productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce maintenance costs and improve plant efficiency.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance in continuous process industries.
- Expertise in rotating equipment, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, blowers, compressors, and utility systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
- Familiarity with SAP, ERP, or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.
- Excellent planning, communication, and coordination skills.
