Job Description – Technical Architect (Platform Engineering)
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of an enterprise-scale platform. The role is responsible for defining scalable, secure, and cloud-native platform architectures, driving Kubernetes and DevOps adoption, establishing platform engineering best practices, and enabling automated, reliable, and governed application deployments.
Key Responsibilities

Design and build enterprise-scale cloud-native and cloud-agnostic PaaS platforms across Azure and AWS

Define the end-to-end platform architecture, including cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, security, DevOps, and platform services

Develop and implement Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and reusable platform components
-
Define platform governance, security policies, SOPs, design standards, operational guidelines, and engineering best practices

Establish IAM, observability, networking, platform security, backup, disaster recovery, and operational excellence
-
Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and design and technical discussions with stakeholders and engineering teams

Identify technical risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and proactively address implementation challenges

Drive platform standardization, automation, scalability, resilience, and continuous improvement
-
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Cloud Engineers, DevOps, and QA to ensure successful delivery

Create architecture documents, technical standards, and implementation guidelines while mentoring engineering teams

Evaluate emerging technologies, and tools to recommend the most appropriate solutions

Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle
Required Skillset
-
12+ years of IT experience in Cloud Architecture, Platform Engineering, Kubernetes, or DevOps.

Strong experience in designing and building enterprise-scale cloud-native and cloud-agnostic platforms across Azure and AWS
-
Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, Docker/Rancher Desktop, microservices architecture, and container orchestration

Managed multi-cloud accounts for multi-tenant applications and onboard, manage multiple customer's cloud infrastructure

Strong programming and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, and experience with Azure SDK and AWS SDK for platform automation

Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, OpenTofu, Helm, Git, and configuration management

Strong knowledge of cloud services including Virtual Networks, Virtual Machines (VMs/EC2), Container Registry, API Gateway/API Management, Load Balancers, DNS, Storage, IAM/RBAC, Secrets Management, and networking services

Experience designing governance models, security and platform standards, SOPs, policies, guardrails, and operational best practices

Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation

Strong knowledge of observability using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki, monitoring, logging, tracing, corelation, and alerting solutions

Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, messaging/integration services, API security, and cloud-native application deployment patterns

Excellent technical leadership, architecture governance, stakeholder management, mentoring, and problem-solving skills
