Lakeview's been on MG Road since 1930. We're the oldest ice cream parlour in Bangalore, and the city's basically grown up in here. First dates. Family Sundays. The scoop you'd had before you can even remember having it. We're not a throwback. We're not trading on old photos and calling it heritage. We're the place the city still walks into every day, almost a hundred years later. Right now every other dessert spot in town looks the same. Same minimal fonts, same beige walls, same chase for whatever's trending this week. We're not playing that game. We're doubling down on the thing none of them can fake. They can copy the look. They can't copy 1930. We're heading somewhere new with all of it. Same brand, same joy, just a better feeling. Older than everyone, and somehow still building the most interesting thing in the room. That's what you'd be helping us build.
Role Overview
Lakeview is looking for a young, enthusiastic Social Media Executive with a penchant for content creation, a knack for quick witty writing, and an eye for all things aesthetic on social media in line with the brand language.
Key Responsibilities
- Passionate for creating aesthetic content with quick edits — whether it’s shooting people or creating mood reels in-house.
- Stay up to date with social media trends and quickly identify relevant opportunities for content creation.
- Assist with the creation of monthly social media content calendars.
- Understand the brand’s tone of voice and craft spontaneous, engaging responses to comments, DMs, creator conversations, brand banter, and community interactions.
- Write witty one-liners and captions that make people stop scrolling.
Requirements
- A natural storyteller.
- 1–2+ years of proven experience as a content creator, social strategist, or hybrid role.
- Strong copywriting and scripting abilities for short-form video and social media content (the brief and calendar will be very articulate, don’t worry :).
- Deep understanding of Instagram formats, trends, and growth strategies.
- Someone who enjoys interacting with and understanding people.
Great to Have
- You can write a caption that sounds like a person, not a brand.
- You understand the difference between drawing on the past and being stuck in it.
- You actually like ice cream. Non-negotiable, honestly
