The Accountant ensures financial transparency, compliance, and smooth operation of the college’s accounts, supporting both academic and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
· Financial Records: Maintain ledgers, journals, and daily accounts.
· Fee Management: student fee collection, reconciliation, and reporting.
· Payroll: Process salaries, deductions (PF, ESIC, TDS), and employee benefits.
· Budgeting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and monitoring expenditures.
· Banking & Cash Flow: Reconcile bank statements, manage cash, and coordinate with banks.
· Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax laws, accounting standards, and institutional policies.
· Audit Support: Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
· Procurement Oversight: Verify bills, vouchers, and maintain asset records.
Qualifications
· B.Com/M.Com in Accounting or Finance (CA/ICWA preferred).
· 2–5 years of experience, ideally in the education sector.
· Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
· Knowledge of statutory compliance and audit procedures.
