Role Overview -
The Engineer will support the design, development, integration, and validation of electrical systems for drone platforms. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, the role involves contributing to battery systems, wiring harnesses, Battery Management Systems (BMS), power distribution systems, ESCs, motors, and PCB designs.
Designation - Engineer I
Experience - 2 to 5 years
Qualification - Bachelor's or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
Location - KIADB Aerospace Park, Bengaluru
Key Responsibilities -

Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for drones, including batteries, harnesses, BMS, PDU, ESC, motors, and related components.

Support schematic capture and PCB layout development under senior engineer guidance.

Participate in battery selection, evaluation, and integration for drone applications.
-
Assist in harness design, testing, and validation, considering weight, EMI, and durability requirements.

Contribute to Battery Management System (BMS) integration for battery monitoring, charging, and discharging control.
-
Support the design, testing, and validation of power distribution systems and boards.
-
Collaborate with testing teams to execute electrical system tests, document results, and implement improvements.
-
Work closely with mechanical, software, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.

Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including DFMEA, FTA, DFM, and DVP.

Support cost optimization initiatives while maintaining performance, quality, and reliability standards.

Research emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance drone electrical system performance and capabilities.
