Job Summary
Veenus Computers is looking for a motivated Desktop Support Engineer – L1 to provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, networking devices, software, and basic IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop and laptop systems.
- Diagnose hardware and software issues and provide timely solutions.
- Install and configure Windows operating systems and required applications.
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, UPS, networking, and peripheral devices.
- Perform basic LAN, Wi-Fi, IP configuration, and network troubleshooting.
- Handle onsite customer support and service calls.
- Perform hardware upgrades such as RAM, SSD/HDD, and other components.
- Assist with antivirus, software installation, updates, and system security.
- Maintain service reports, asset details, and customer support records.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers when required.
- Provide professional customer service and maintain good customer relationships.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Computer Hardware & Networking.
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 installation and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and routers/switches.
- Knowledge of desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of antivirus and software installation.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for onsite service within Madurai.
Qualification
- 10th / 12th / Diploma / ITI / relevant technical qualification.
- Freshers with good technical knowledge are welcome.
- Candidates with 0–1 year experience in desktop support or IT hardware service will be preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred/required for onsite support.
- Madurai local candidates preferred.
- Local candidates preferred for field-support requirements.
- Should be punctual, disciplined, customer-friendly, and willing to learn.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: ₹10,000+ per month, based on skills and experience.
Additional: Yearly bonus and opportunities for technical skill development.
Pay: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month
