Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented SCM Executive to manage material planning, customer schedules, supplier coordination, inventory control, stores operations, dispatch planning, and logistics activities. The ideal candidate will ensure uninterrupted material availability for production while achieving on-time deliveries to customers and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Schedule & Dispatch Planning
- Receive and analyze customer schedules.
- Update planning data in ERP/MRP systems.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch plans.
- Coordinate with production teams to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Track pending dispatches and ensure adherence to delivery commitments.
- Ensure on-time delivery performance.
Material Planning & Supplier Coordination
- Plan material requirements based on customer demand.
- Release supplier schedules and purchase requirements.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Monitor shortages and expedite critical materials.
- Identify and escalate supply risks proactively.
- Ensure continuous material availability for production.
Inventory & Stores Management
- Manage receipt, storage, and issue of materials.
- Maintain inventory accuracy in ERP.
- Conduct cycle counts and stock verification activities.
- Monitor excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
- Ensure FIFO compliance and material traceability.
Logistics & Dispatch Management
- Arrange transportation for dispatches.
- Coordinate shipping and dispatch documentation.
- Track shipments until customer receipt.
- Resolve logistics and transportation issues.
- Monitor transporter performance and delivery efficiency.
Reporting & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Prepare and maintain:
- Customer Schedule Reports
- Material Shortage Reports
- Open Purchase Order Reports
- Inventory Reports
- Dispatch Reports
- Participate in daily production and SCM review meetings.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Purchase, and Logistics teams.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering may also be considered.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Production Planning
- Stores & Inventory Control
- Dispatch & Logistics
- Material Planning
Skills Required
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (mandatory).
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Customer schedule management experience.
- Supplier coordination and follow-up skills.
- Inventory management and reporting expertise.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in IATF 16949-certified Automotive or Auto Component manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with production planning and material requirement planning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and execution skills.
