Job Summary
The Housekeeping Assistant / Floor Assistant is responsible for supporting the housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. The role involves assisting room attendants, replenishing supplies, handling linen, responding to guest requests, and ensuring all assigned floors and public areas are well organized and maintained according to five-star hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Room Attendants with cleaning and preparing guest rooms.
- Deliver clean linen, towels, guest amenities, and housekeeping supplies to assigned floors.
- Collect and transport used linen and waste to designated areas.
- Maintain housekeeping pantries in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition.
- Replenish guest room amenities, minibar items (where applicable), and housekeeping supplies.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests such as extra towels, pillows, blankets, and amenities.
- Assist in handling guest laundry and staff uniforms as required.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged furniture, missing items, and safety hazards to the Floor Supervisor immediately.
- Ensure all housekeeping equipment and cleaning tools are properly maintained and stored.
- Follow hotel Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and health & safety regulations.
- Assist in deep cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments.
- Support room attendants during high occupancy periods to ensure rooms are ready on time.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and respect guest privacy at all times.
- Coordinate effectively with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and other departments.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Floor Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper.
Qualifications
- Higher Secondary (Plus Two) or equivalent.
- Certificate/Diploma in Hotel Management is preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Freshers with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Working Conditions

Pay: ₹13,500.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
