Key Responsibilities
- Develop and generate new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
- Prepare and share freight quotations, negotiate rates, and close sales opportunities.
- Handle customer inquiries related to ocean freight, air freight, customs clearance, transportation, and logistics services.
- Conduct sales calls, client meetings, and email communication with prospective customers.
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
- Follow up on quotations, bookings, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate sales records, client databases, and pipeline reports.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on freight market trends, shipping industry developments, and logistics solutions.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Good understanding of freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of CRM software will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in BBA, B.Com, Marketing, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, International Business, or any related discipline.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Freight Forwarding, Shipping, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
- Freshers are also welcome to apply. Candidates with prior experience in freight forwarding or logistics sales will be preferred.
