Job Summary
The English Teacher is responsible for teaching English language and literature to high school students in accordance with the Central Board of Secondary Education curriculum. The teacher will foster students' reading, writing, speaking, and critical-thinking skills while creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities Teaching and Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver English lessons aligned with the CBSE syllabus.
- Teach grammar, literature, writing, reading comprehension, and communication skills.
- Use innovative teaching methods and educational technology to enhance learning.
- Encourage active participation and critical thinking among students.
Assessment and Evaluation
- Design and conduct tests, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress reports.
- Prepare students for CBSE board examinations.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and create a positive classroom environment.
- Ensure student safety and well-being.
- Promote respect, inclusivity, and ethical behavior.
Student Development
- Identify students' learning needs and provide additional support where required.
- Guide students in improving language proficiency and communication skills.
- Mentor students in academic and personal growth.
Administrative Duties
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher meetings.
- Prepare lesson plans and maintain academic documentation.
- Participate in school events, co-curricular activities, and examination duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in English or a related field.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and assessment system.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in English (M.A. English).
- Prior teaching experience in a CBSE school.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and smart classroom technology.

Experience
