A Cafe Food & Beverage (F&B) Service Associate provides exceptional dining service by welcoming guests, taking accurate orders, serving food/beverages, and processing payments, while maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards (HACCP). They ensure guest satisfaction through personalized service, upselling, and prompt complaint resolution in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Greet guests, present menus, explain specials, and take orders accurately.
- Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to service standards.
- Table Maintenance: Set up tables, clear dirty dishes, and maintain dining area cleanliness.
- Order Management: Utilize POS systems for order entry and handle billing, including cash/card transactions.
- Upselling: Recommend appetizers, beverages, and desserts to maximize revenue.
- Hygiene & Safety: Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP).
- Coordination: Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in hospitality or F&B service is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer service orientation and ability to handle complaints.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
