Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Phlebotomist – Home Blood Collection to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for visiting patients at their homes to collect blood and other diagnostic samples while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and sample quality. The role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, professional communication, and the ability to travel within assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit patients' homes as per the assigned schedule for blood sample collection.
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples safely and accurately.
- Collect other diagnostic samples (urine, stool, sputum, swabs, etc.) as per standard protocols, when required.
- Verify patient identity and test requisition before sample collection.
- Label, store, and transport samples according to laboratory guidelines to maintain sample integrity.
- Follow infection control practices and maintain strict hygiene during every collection.
- Educate patients regarding sample collection procedures and pre-test instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of collections and update the system/app as required.
- Handle biomedical waste in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with the operations team regarding appointments, delays, or rescheduling.
- Ensure timely submission of collected samples to the laboratory.
Eligibility
- DMLT / BMLT / Certified Phlebotomy Technician or equivalent qualification.
- Valid training in phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in blood collection (home collection experience preferred).
- Freshers with strong practical training may also apply.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
