An E-commerce Executive is responsible for overseeing a company's online sales operations, managing its presence across digital storefronts, and executing strategies to drive revenue growth. They bridge the gap between digital marketing, inventory management, and technical platform operations to optimize the digital customer journey.
Core Responsibilities Marketplace & Store Management
- Catalog Administration: Upload and update product listings, titles, descriptions, and high-quality images.
- Content Optimization: Create and implement A+ content, rich media, and SEO-friendly copy to boost visibility.
- Platform Health: Monitor dashboard notifications, address suppressed listings, and maintain excellent account metrics.
- Competitor Benchmarking: Track competitor pricing, promotional structures, and marketplace keywords.
Operations & Logistics
- Order Processing: Coordinate daily inbound orders, invoice generation, and customer dispatch pathways.
- Inventory Control: Map stock levels across channels like Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, or proprietary Shopify websites to prevent stockouts.
- Returns Management: Track returns, evaluate damaged goods, and process reverse logistics seamlessly.
Digital Marketing & Sales
- Campaign Execution: Manage paid ad spend across Amazon PPC, Google Ads, and Meta platforms.
- Promo Coordination: Launch flash sales, exclusive discount bundles, and seasonal marketing banners.
- Conversion Optimization: Leverage platform metrics to win the product "Buy Box" and improve organic rankings.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Performance Metrics: Extract weekly and monthly reports detailing units sold, net profit margins, and ad costs.
- Trend Tracking: Evaluate traffic fluctuations, seasonal demand variations, and ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
Required Key Skills
- Platform Expertise: Familiarity with major marketplaces (e.g., Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Shopping) and website builders (e.g., Shopify, Magento).
- Analytical Skills: Mastery of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and web metrics tracking tools like Google Analytics.
- Digital Marketing: Foundational knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) ads, and basic copy writing.
