Garment Dyeing Follow-Up Job Responsibilities
A Garment Dyeing Follow-Up Executive is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the garment dyeing process to ensure production is completed on time, meets quality standards, and complies with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up on the daily garment dyeing production schedule.
- Coordinate with production, planning, quality, washing, finishing, and merchandising teams.
- Ensure garments are available for dyeing according to the production plan.
- Monitor dyeing progress and update the production status regularly.
- Check that dye recipes, colors, and process parameters follow approved standards.
- Ensure required chemicals, dyes, and accessories are available before production starts.
- Follow up on laboratory approvals, shade approvals, and bulk production approvals.
- Monitor machine loading, unloading, and production efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team to ensure garments meet color and quality requirements.
- Track and resolve issues such as shade variation, dye marks, uneven dyeing, stains, and reprocessing requirements.
- Maintain daily production, delivery, and pending reports.
- Communicate production updates, delays, and issues to management and merchandising teams.
- Follow up on corrective actions to minimize production delays and quality defects.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, company SOPs, and safety requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce re-dyeing and rejection rates.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of garment dyeing processes and production flow.
- Understanding of dyes, chemicals, and shade matching.
- Familiarity with quality standards and garment defects.
- Good planning, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and production reporting.
- Ability to work under production deadlines.
