We are looking for a Finance Lead who can drive financial operations, compliance, and business partnering in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Role Overview:
The Finance Executive will work on finance tasks, statutory compliance, payroll, taxation, and financial reporting while partnering closely with business teams to improve financial processes and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a D2C or e-commerce business with a strong understanding of GST, payroll, and accounting controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
Manage month-end and year-end financial closing.
Ensure accurate bookkeeping in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Drive budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and variance analysis.
Prepare management reports and financial dashboards for leadership.
Taxation & Compliance:
Ensure timely GST computation, reconciliation, and filing of returns.
Handle TDS calculations, deductions, return filing, and compliance.
Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments.
Ensure compliance with Companies Act and other regulatory requirements.
Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities.
Payroll:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing.
Ensure statutory compliance relating to PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, and TDS on salaries.
Coordinate with HR for payroll inputs and employee reimbursements.
Handle payroll audits and reconciliations.
D2C Finance:
Reconcile payment gateways, wallets, and marketplace settlements.
Monitor COD collections, refunds, cancellations, returns, and reverse logistics accounting.
Track customer acquisition costs, contribution margins, and unit economics.
Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain for inventory accounting and reconciliations.
Ensure accurate revenue recognition and sales reconciliations.
Required Qualifications
B.Com/M.Com with strong accounting experience.
4+ years of relevant finance experience.
Prior experience in a CA office, D2C, e-commerce, retail, healthcare, or consumer internet company is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, payroll, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Tally, Zoho Books, Oracle NetSuite, SAP Business One, or similar.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Experience managing audits and interacting with external consultants.
Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
