About the Role
National Institute of Education and Development (NIED) is seeking an experienced Advanced Plumbing Trainer to deliver practical and industry-oriented training in modern plumbing systems, water supply networks, sanitary installations, drainage systems, pipe fitting, plumbing maintenance, and construction-related services. The trainer will be responsible for developing skilled professionals capable of working in residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, construction practices, water management systems, and safety standards, along with the ability to provide hands-on training and mentorship.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery
- Conduct classroom and practical training sessions on advanced plumbing systems.
- Deliver hands-on training in pipe installation, fitting, maintenance, and repair.
- Demonstrate modern plumbing tools, equipment, and technologies.
- Develop lesson plans, practical assignments, and workshop activities.
- Ensure safe working practices during practical sessions.
- Conduct project-based and field-oriented learning activities.

- Conduct practical and theoretical assessments.
- Monitor trainee attendance, performance, and progress.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Ensure compliance with project and quality standards.
Industry & Placement Support
- Support placement-linked training initiatives.
- Prepare candidates for employment in construction, infrastructure, facility management, and maintenance sectors.
- Coordinate industry visits, workshops, and guest lectures.
- Assist trainees in interview preparation and workplace readiness.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
- Additional certifications in Plumbing Systems, Water Supply Engineering, Building Services, or Construction Management will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of industry and/or training experience in:
- Plumbing Systems Installation
- Water Supply and Sanitation Projects
- Building Services Engineering
- Construction and Infrastructure Projects
- Facility Management
- Technical Training Institutes
- Experience in Skill Development, NSDC, PMKVY, CSR, Government, or Employment-linked Training Programs will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and building services.
- Knowledge of water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems.
- Experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to read plumbing layouts, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with plumbing tools, equipment, and materials.
- Understanding of safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Knowledge of rainwater harvesting and sustainable water management systems.
