Job Summary:
Responsible for developing new business opportunities, generating sales, building strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, dealers, and distributors, and achieving business growth targets for building material products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Generate new leads through market visits, referrals, networking, and industry contacts.
- Build and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, architects, developers, dealers, and distributors.
- Identify new projects and business opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Promote and sell building material products to existing and potential customers.
- Conduct product presentations and provide technical/product information.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales.
- Coordinate with internal teams for order processing and timely delivery.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer requirements.
- Develop and expand the dealer and distributor network.
- Follow up on payments and outstanding receivables.
- Maintain sales pipeline, customer database, and regular MIS reports.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of building materials and construction products.
- Excellent sales and business development skills.
- Strong network among builders, contractors, architects, and dealers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong market development and lead-generation abilities.
- Target-oriented and result-driven approach.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel for market and client visits.
Qualification & Experience:
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage.
- 4–8 years of experience in sales/business development.
- Experience in the building materials / construction industry preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience selling cement, steel, tiles, sanitaryware, plumbing, electrical products, paints, adhesives, hardware, doors/windows, AAC blocks, or other construction materials.
- Strong relationships with builders, contractors, architects, developers, and channel partners.
- Experience handling institutional/project sales is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
