Job summary:
The Venue Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and smooth operation of event venues. The role ensures that all venue facilities are prepared according to event requirements, safety standards are maintained, staff activities are coordinated, and guests receive excellent service.
- Supervise daily operations of assigned venues and event spaces.
- Ensure venues are clean, organized, and fully prepared before each event.
- Conduct pre-event and post-event inspections.
- Monitor venue setup and dismantling activities.
- Ensure all furniture, fixtures, and equipment are arranged as per approved layouts.
- Coordinate opening and closing of venues.
- Liaise with event organizers regarding event schedules and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments including housekeeping, security, maintenance, IT, and hospitality.
- Resolve operational issues promptly during events.
- Supervise venue attendants, housekeeping staff, and support personnel.
- Inspect lighting, HVAC, electrical systems, sound systems, and venue equipment before events.
- Report maintenance issues and follow up until resolved.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations.
- Monitor crowd movement and occupancy limits.
- Maintain records of venue bookings, inspections, and maintenance requests.
- Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction throughout the event.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of event operations and venue management.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays based on event schedules.
