Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Site Engineer to manage and supervise construction site activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that work is completed as per drawings, specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
The ideal candidate should have strong site-management skills, be able to coordinate with contractors and workers, and proactively identify and resolve site issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage day-to-day construction site activities.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, designs, and specifications.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure project timelines are met.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and other site teams.
- Check the quality of materials and workmanship at the site.
- Take measurements and maintain proper site records and documentation.
- Identify site issues and provide practical solutions.
- Monitor manpower and ensure workers are properly deployed.
- Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports.
- Ensure proper use of materials and minimize unnecessary wastage.
- Coordinate material requirements and ensure timely availability at site.
- Monitor safety practices and ensure workers follow site safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with management and provide regular updates regarding project progress, delays, and requirements.
- Handle multiple site activities and ensure smooth execution from start to completion.
Requirements
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification.
- 5+ years of relevant site experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction work, site execution, measurements, and quality control.
- Ability to read and understand civil/architectural drawings.
- Good contractor and manpower management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Should be disciplined, responsible, and willing to take ownership of site work.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and basic project documentation will be an advantage.
