About the Role
JPK Metallics Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled Designer – AutoCAD & SolidWorks/Creo Drawing Engineer to join our engineering team. This role involves creating accurate 2D and 3D product drawings for manhole covers, frames, gratings, drainage products, and other ductile iron castings.
The ideal candidate should have strong CAD design skills, manufacturing awareness, and the ability to convert customer requirements into production-ready drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop and modify 3D models using SolidWorks or Creo.
- Prepare assembly drawings, sectional views, and production drawings.
- Convert customer sketches, samples, and site measurements into technical drawings.
- Design and modify manhole covers, frames, gratings, and related products.
- Coordinate with Production, Pattern Shop, Quality Control, and Sales teams.
- Maintain drawing revisions, design records, and standard product libraries.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, manufacturable, and compliant with specifications.
- Support pattern making, casting, machining, and quality inspection activities.
- Assist in weight estimation and material optimization.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks or Creo (mandatory).
- Ability to create 2D drawings from 3D models.
- Knowledge of assembly drawings, sectional views, and manufacturing drawings.
- Understanding of dimensions, tolerances, scaling, and fitment requirements.
- Experience with drawing revision control and documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in CAD design, drafting, or product engineering.
- Experience in manufacturing, foundry, casting, fabrication, or product design environments.
- Prior exposure to ductile iron products, castings, manhole covers, gratings, or infrastructure products is highly preferred.
- Experience working closely with shop-floor teams and production departments.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool Design, or related field.
- CAD certifications in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo will be an added advantage.
- Strong practical drawing skills are valued more than academic qualifications.

Salary
₹30,000 – ₹45,000 per month (Negotiable for highly experienced candidates)
