Position: FABRICATION MANAGER
Location: Bengaluru (Whitefield)
Department: Production / Fabrication
Reporting To: Plant Head / Head – Operations
CTC: Up to ₹10 LPA (depending on experience and suitability)
Role Summary
To manage fabrication operations including planning, execution, manpower handling, quality control, and delivery of fabricated components as per production schedule, cost, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily fabrication activities as per production schedule
- Manage fabrication shop floor including cutting, welding, fitting, and assembly operations
- Ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Monitor productivity, cycle time, and material utilization
- Control rework, rejection, and wastage
- Coordinate with design, planning, and stores teams
- Ensure timely completion of fabrication orders
- Handle manpower allocation and supervision of welders, fitters, and technicians
- Ensure compliance with safety standards on shop floor
- Drive continuous improvement and Kaizen activities in fabrication area
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes (welding, fitting, machining basics)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Manpower and shop floor management skills
- Knowledge of quality standards and inspection methods
- Problem-solving and production planning ability
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years experience in fabrication / heavy engineering industry
- Experience in team handling is mandatory
Preferred Industry Background
Fabrication / Manufacturing / Heavy Engineering / Automotive
Language Proficiency
- Basic English (reading & understanding work instructions)
- Local language preferred (Kannada - mandatory. Hindi & Tamil – good to have)
