Job Summary
The Senior Education Counsellor (Sales) / Career Development Advisor plays a key role in guiding prospective learners through their academic and career journey. This role combines consultative counselling with strategic sales to help students identify suitable educational programs aligned with their professional aspirations.
The candidate will be responsible for driving enrolments, nurturing leads, and delivering an exceptional advisory experience that contributes to both student success and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective students through calls, emails, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions to understand their educational and career objectives.
- Provide accurate, personalized, and comprehensive guidance regarding programs, course structures, eligibility, and career opportunities.
- Assist students throughout the enrolment lifecycle, from inquiry generation to successful registration.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly enrolment and revenue targets through effective lead conversion strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of student interactions, follow-ups, and status updates in CRM systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and online education developments to improve counselling effectiveness and outreach strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education, Psychology, Business, or Marketing preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, academic counselling, student advisory, or online higher education counselling.
- Prior experience in online degree counselling is preferred.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital education trends.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools such as LSQ, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
