Job Title: Production Chemist – Fresher

Reports To: Production Manager / Shift In-Charge
Job Summary
The Production Chemist – Fresher will assist in pharmaceutical manufacturing activities under the guidance of senior production personnel. The role involves learning and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and maintaining accurate production documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in carrying out manufacturing activities as per Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and SOPs.
- Operate production equipment under the supervision of senior staff.
- Monitor and record process parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH, and reaction time.
- Maintain production records, equipment logbooks, and other documentation.
- Follow GMP, safety, and hygiene requirements at all times.
- Perform line clearance and cleaning activities before and after production.
- Assist in material handling, dispensing, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with QA and QC for sampling and in-process checks.
- Report any deviations, equipment issues, or safety concerns to the Shift In-Charge.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the production area.
- Participate in training programs and continuously develop technical knowledge.
Qualification
- B.Sc. (Chemistry) – Preferred
- M.Sc. (Chemistry) – Preferred
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience
- 0–1 year
- Freshers are welcome.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of chemistry and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Understanding of GMP and safety practices (preferred).
- Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
