Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Manager – Hiring & Operations to oversee and manage end-to-end HR functions, including talent acquisition, HR operations, employee engagement, payroll coordination, and compliance.
The role involves leading day-to-day HR activities, managing a small HR team, and driving HR processes efficiently, while aligning with organizational goals set by the Head – HR. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between management and employees, ensuring smooth HR operations, high employee engagement, and compliance with statutory requirements.
This position requires a balance of operational execution and tactical decision-making, without full strategic ownership, which remains with the Head – HR.
Key Responsibilities1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment strategy and execution across departments.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand workforce planning, hiring priorities.
- Drive quality hiring within defined timelines, ensuring a strong talent pipeline.
- Review job descriptions and ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Monitor recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality.
- Manage external vendors, consultants, and recruitment platforms.
- Ensure a strong employer branding presence across hiring channels.
2. Team Management & HR Leadership
- Supervise and guide HR executives/associates, ensuring efficient task allocation and execution.
- Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to HR team members.
- Ensure smooth coordination within the HR team and across departments.
- Drive accountability and performance within the HR function.
3. HR Operations & Process Management
- Oversee and ensure smooth execution of HR operations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records, HRMS data, and documentation.
- Hands-on experience in HRMS platforms, with preference for Keka, is essential.
- Review and approve HR letters, documentation, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Streamline HR processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
4. Payroll Management & Statutory Compliance
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process in coordination with Payroll processing team members.
- Ensure accuracy of salary processing, deductions, reimbursements, and statutory contributions.
- Monitor compliance with PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and other labor laws.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation.
5. Employee Engagement & Relations
- Design and drive employee engagement strategies and initiatives to enhance retention and satisfaction.
- Foster a positive work culture and employee-centric environment.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflict resolution effectively.
- Conduct regular employee feedback sessions and engagement surveys.
- Work closely with leadership to improve employee morale and workplace experience.
6. Performance Management & Talent Development
- Lead the performance management cycle, including goal setting,Quarterly reviews and other feedback sessions.
- Ensure timely completion of performance reviews and probation confirmations.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning & development initiatives.
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives (execution level).
7. Policy Implementation & HR Governance
- Support the Head – HR in developing and implementing HR policies and frameworks.
- Ensure effective communication and adherence to HR policies across the organization.
- Maintain consistency in HR practices and decision-making.
- Assist in building scalable HR processes aligned with organizational growth.

- Strong knowledge of HR Generalist functions and labor laws
- Proven experience in team handling and HR operations management
- Expertise in recruitment strategy, payroll coordination, and compliance
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion
- Proficiency in HRMS, Google sheets, and data analysis
Qualifications
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or Master's degree in HR
- 6–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Exposure to a fast-paced, scaling organization is a plus.
