Job Summary
The Medical Technologist – MRI & CT will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging, ensuring accurate and efficient scanning while maintaining patient safety and comfort. The role involves operating MRI and CT scanners, collaborating with radiologists, and adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and CT (Computed Tomography) equipment with precision.
- Prepare patients for scanning procedures; explain protocols and address concerns.
- Accurately position patients and select appropriate imaging parameters.
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images are acquired for radiologist interpretation.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and ensure safety.
- Maintain imaging equipment and report any malfunctions or issues.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety practices and MRI safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures, findings, and patient information.
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure effective service delivery.
- Educate patients on pre-scan requirements (e.g., fasting, metal removal, contrast use).
- Assist in maintaining inventory and supplies for the imaging department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology, Radiography, or related field.
- Certified or registered as a Radiologic Technologist / MRI & CT Technologist.
- Previous experience working with MRI and CT scanners (preferably 1–3+ years).
- Knowledge of imaging protocols and safety standards.
- Basic understanding of anatomy and cross-sectional imaging.
