Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacist Trainer to lead and deliver training programs for pharmacists and pharmacy staff. The trainer will be responsible for conducting classroom and practical training sessions, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, medication safety standards, inventory management practices, and delivering high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate should be proficient in speaking and reading Telugu and should be flexible to travel between Hyderabad and Vizag for training assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver structured training programs for newly hired and existing pharmacists.
- Train pharmacy staff on medication dispensing, prescription verification, dosage calculations, and drug storage guidelines.
- Conduct sessions on medication safety, pharmacovigilance, adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting, and patient counselling.
- Train pharmacists on inventory management, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), controlled drug handling, and cold chain management.
- Educate staff on regulatory compliance, NABH/NABL standards, pharmacy ethics, and documentation requirements.
- Conduct assessments, practical evaluations, and competency tests to ensure training effectiveness.
- Provide refresher training and coaching to improve pharmacy operations and patient safety.
- Develop and update training materials in line with the latest healthcare regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with pharmacy managers and quality teams to identify skill gaps and training needs.
- Maintain complete training records, attendance sheets, assessment reports, and certification documentation.
- Support implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) across pharmacy operations.
Qualifications & SkillsEssential
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
- Valid Pharmacy Council Registration.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in hospital, retail, or clinical pharmacy.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in training, mentoring, or supervising pharmacy staff is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medication management, pharmacy operations, inventory control, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and Telugu.
Preferred
- Experience in hospital or diagnostic pharmacy operations.
- Exposure to training healthcare professionals or frontline staff.
- Knowledge of NABH/NABL standards and quality management systems.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and training methodologies.

- Number of pharmacists successfully trained and certified.
- Competency assessment scores of trainees.
- Improvement in dispensing accuracy and medication safety compliance.
- Reduction in medication-related errors and inventory discrepancies.
- Training feedback ratings and participant satisfaction scores.
- Compliance with pharmacy SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Work Environment
- Training centres, pharmacies, hospitals, diagnostic centres, and field locations.
- Frequent travel to satellite centres and rural healthcare facilities across Hyderabad and Vizag.
- Flexible working hours may be required based on training schedules.
