Job Title: Billing Head – Oncology, Chemotherapy & CAR T ServicesJob Summary
The Billing Head will be responsible for managing end-to-end billing operations for oncology, chemotherapy, and CAR-T (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell) therapy services, ensuring accurate billing, revenue optimization, insurance coordination, compliance, and a seamless patient billing experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee billing operations for oncology consultations, chemotherapy, CAR-T therapy, diagnostics, procedures, daycare, and inpatient services.
- Ensure accurate billing of high-value oncology treatments, chemotherapy drugs, CAR-T therapy, consumables, and treatment packages.
- Manage cash, corporate, insurance, and TPA billing processes.
- Coordinate with medical, nursing, pharmacy, finance, and operations teams to ensure complete and accurate charge capture.
- Monitor revenue realization, identify billing discrepancies, and minimize revenue leakages.
- Handle insurance pre-authorizations, claim submissions, reconciliations, denials, and payment follow-ups.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, payer guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve patient and stakeholder billing queries and escalations.
- Prepare MIS reports, revenue dashboards, billing analytics, and management reports.
- Lead, train, and supervise the billing team to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of hospital billing experience, preferably in oncology, chemotherapy, or specialty healthcare.
- Strong understanding of CAR-T therapy billing, oncology revenue cycle management, TPA processes, and insurance claims.
- Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS), billing software, and MS Excel.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
