Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our travel and tourism team. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in international holiday package sales, with proven experience in handling both B2B and B2C travel segments. The candidate must have extensive knowledge of major international tourist destinations, including CIS countries, and demonstrate the ability to drive sales growth, build client relationships, and expand market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies to increase sales and market share.
- Handle sales and promotion of international tour packages across B2B and B2C segments.
- Generate new business opportunities through travel agents, corporate clients, and direct customers.
- Maintain and expand relationships with travel partners, tour operators, DMCs, and corporate clients.
- Design and promote customized holiday packages based on customer requirements.
- Handle inquiries, prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging travel trends and new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with suppliers, airlines, hotels, visa agencies, and destination partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide destination expertise and travel consultation to customers.
- Participate in travel exhibitions, networking events, and promotional activities.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, sales activities, and customer interactions using CRM systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Travel & Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in business development or sales within the travel and tourism industry.
- Proven experience in selling international tour packages.
- Strong knowledge of major tourist destinations worldwide, including CIS countries.
- Hands-on experience in handling both B2B and B2C travel segments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong network within the travel industry, including travel agents and corporate clients.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
