Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Lab Engineer to support our Power Electronics R&D team in prototyping and testing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on soldering experience with fine-pitch components (including 0201, 0402, BGA, and QFN packages), high-voltage electrical wiring, and test setup assembly. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of lab activities and supporting engineering teams in product development and validation.
Key Responsibilities:

Component Handling & Soldering:
-
Perform precise soldering and rework of fine-pitch components such as 0201, 0402, BGA, and QFN packages.

Use microscopes and reflow equipment for accurate placement and inspection of components.

Handling and operating power electronics lab equipment.
-
Purchase and maintain component inventory and proper storage of sensitive electronic components.

Rework and fix assembly-related issues on non-working PCBs.

Test Setup Assembly:

Build and wire custom test setups based on engineering schematics and requirements.

Route and terminate cables, connectors, and harnesses for electrical testing.

Ensure all setups meet safety and quality standards.

Lab Maintenance & Support:

Organize and maintain lab equipment, tools, and workstations.

Calibrate and troubleshoot basic lab instruments (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies).

Assist engineers in executing test procedures and collecting data.

Documentation & Reporting:

Understand electrical schematic connections.
-
Maintain accurate records of test setups, wiring diagrams, and component usage.

Support the creation of test reports and logs for engineering review.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow ESD-safe practices and lab safety protocols.

Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

6 to 10 years of experience in a power electronics lab support or similar role.

Proficiency in soldering fine-pitch components and reading electrical schematics.

Familiarity with lab instruments and basic troubleshooting techniques.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
