Job Summary
The Pre-Sales Engineer shall be responsible for understanding customer requirements, preparing techno-commercial proposals, designing Building Management System (BMS) and ELV solutions, preparing BOQs, costing, tender documents, technical compliance, and providing technical support to the sales team before project award.
The engineer will act as the bridge between customers, consultants, OEMs, and the execution team.
Key Responsibilities1. Customer Requirement Analysis
- Study client requirements, BOQs, specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
- Attend client meetings and technical discussions.
- Understand project scope and prepare technical solutions.
- Clarify customer requirements before quotation.
2. System Design
Design systems including:
- Building Management System (BMS)
- HVAC Automation
- Chiller Plant Management
- Energy Monitoring System (EMS)
- Electrical Monitoring System
- Lighting Control System
- Fire Alarm Integration
- CCTV System
- Access Control System
- Public Address System
- Structured Cabling
- Networking
- Video Management System
- Integration with Third-Party Systems
3. Preparation of BOQ
Prepare detailed BOQ including:
- Controllers
- Sensors
- Actuators
- Network Switches
- Servers
- Workstations
- Software Licenses
- Junction Boxes
- Field Devices
- Cables
- Conduits
- Accessories
Ensure BOQ complies with customer specifications.
4. Cost Estimation
Prepare cost sheets for:
- Material Cost
- Labour Cost
- Programming Cost
- Testing & Commissioning
- Freight
- Packing
- Taxes
- Warranty
- AMC
- Contingency
Prepare project costing to achieve target margins.
5. Technical Proposal
Prepare:
- Technical Compliance Statement
- Compliance Matrix
- Datasheet Submission
- Technical Deviations
- Technical Write-up
- System Description
- Methodology
- Sequence of Operation
- Architecture Drawings
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
