A Staff Nurse is a qualified healthcare professional responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care.
The role includes patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring of vital signs, maintaining clinical records, assisting with procedures, and educating patients and their families.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to patients according to their individual needs and medical condition.
- Patient Assessment: Assess and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs, symptoms, pain levels, and general condition.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately, following the doctor's orders and hospital policies.
- Doctor's Instructions: Carry out medical and nursing instructions appropriately and report any significant changes in the patient's condition to the concerned doctor.
- Clinical Procedures: Assist doctors and perform nursing procedures within the scope of professional practice and hospital guidelines.
- Patient Monitoring: Closely observe patients and promptly report deterioration, abnormal findings, or emergencies to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, complete, and timely nursing records, treatment charts, medication records, and patient reports.
- Infection Control: Follow strict infection prevention and control practices, including hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment, and proper biomedical waste disposal.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their attendants regarding medication, treatment, diet, hygiene, follow-up care, and other relevant health instructions.
- Emergency Care: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist the healthcare team during resuscitation and other emergency interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing.
- Valid registration with the appropriate Nursing Council.
- Good clinical knowledge and nursing skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in shifts and in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
