JOB DESCRIPTION -
The RIS - AV & Asset Management Specialist is responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of Audio/Visual (AV) equipment and IT assets within a research or specialized information systems environment. This role
ensures the functionality of AV systems and accurate tracking of IT assets to support operational efficiency.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, tracking, and disposal, ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Provide technical support for Audio/Visual (AV) equipment, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance for meetings, presentations, and events.
- Maintain and update asset management databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand AV and asset needs, recommending solutions and improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Audiovisual Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in IT asset management or AV technical support.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with asset management software and AV equipment.
Preferred: Experience in a research or specialized IT environment, knowledge of ITIL principles, and relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CTS).
