About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Site Services Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery, along with strong client-facing skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Commissioning
- Supervise and execute installation of SCL and HPL lines, including handling systems and impregnation lines (6–8 weeks at outstation sites).
- Ensure proper equipment placement and alignment for optimal machine performance.
- Oversee electrical installations including wiring, panels, cable ducts, control desks, and junction boxes as per drawings.
- Conduct production trials and hand over machines to the production team.
- Provide operational and maintenance training to client teams.
- Prepare MOM (Minutes of Meeting) with clients and ensure closure of pending points.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on press lines and related machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues at customer sites.
- Recommend spare parts and prepare quotations.
Technical Support & Client Interaction
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients.
- Train operators and maintenance teams on safe and efficient machine handling.
- Document service reports and suggest upgrades or improvements.
Process Optimization
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Support shop floor teams in machine assembly and supervision.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure output meets dimensional and surface quality standards.
- Conduct inspections during lamination, pressing, and gluing processes.
Sales & Service
- Prepare and send spare parts quotations to customers.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in industrial machinery or field service roles.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic presses, thermal platens, and automated handling systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, hydraulic & pneumatic diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Strong communication and client-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for site work.
