Job Summary
ACETECH is looking for an experienced Fabrication Fitter to join our fabrication and production team. The candidate will be responsible for fabrication fit-up, assembly, alignment, marking, cutting, and preparation of components as per engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and understand engineering/fabrication drawings and dimensions.
- Perform marking, measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, and fit-up of fabricated components.
- Carry out accurate fit-up of plates, pipes, structural components, and assemblies.
- Perform alignment, leveling, and dimensional checking before welding.
- Work with welders to ensure proper joint preparation and fabrication quality.
- Handle heavy fabrication and structural fabrication work.
- Use measuring tools such as measuring tape, vernier caliper, square, level, and other fabrication tools.
- Ensure proper positioning and alignment of components as per drawings.
- Identify dimensional or fabrication issues and report them to the supervisor/engineer.
- Maintain good housekeeping and follow workplace safety procedures.
- Coordinate with production, welding, and quality-control teams.
- Ensure work is completed within the planned production schedule.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Fabrication, or a related trade preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in fabrication fitting.
- Good knowledge of fabrication processes and tools.
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings.
- Experience in heavy fabrication, structural fabrication, pipe fabrication, or equipment fabrication is an advantage.
- Knowledge of welding fit-up and joint preparation.
- Ability to accurately measure and maintain dimensions.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Safety-conscious and disciplined.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in:
- Heavy fabrication
- Pipe fabrication
- Structural fabrication
- Plate fabrication
- Machine/equipment fabrication
- Laser-cut component fit-up
- Bending and rolling components
- Welding fit-up and assembly
will be preferred.
Salary
₹20,000 – ₹28000 per month, depending on experience and skill level.
