Job Title: EVS Teacher (Grades I–V)
Location: Edify School, Chikkabanavara
Timings: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic EVS Teacher to teach Environmental Studies for Grades I–V. The ideal candidate should be able to make learning interactive and meaningful by helping students understand their surroundings, nature, society, and environmental responsibility through engaging classroom activities and practical experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging EVS lessons aligned with the school curriculum
- Teach concepts related to environment, community, health, geography, and social awareness
- Encourage observation, inquiry-based learning, and critical thinking among students
- Organize hands-on activities, projects, experiments, and field-based learning experiences
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, and regular evaluations
- Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment
- Integrate real-life examples and current environmental issues into lessons
- Collaborate with colleagues and actively participate in school events and activities
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and development
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, Social Science, or a related field (B.Ed. preferred)
- Prior experience teaching primary grades is an advantage
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to simplify concepts and make learning engaging for young learners
- Creativity, patience, and a student-centric approach to teaching
- Interest in environmental awareness and experiential learning
