The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records and day-to-day accounting activities of the branch in a multi-state co-operative society. The role includes maintaining books of accounts, handling cash transactions, bank reconciliation, and ensuring accurate recording of all financial entries. The Accountant prepares financial statements, reports, and assists in audits while ensuring compliance with statutory and organizational policies. The position also involves monitoring deposits such as savings, FD, and RD accounts, verifying vouchers, and maintaining proper documentation. The Accountant must coordinate with other departments for smooth financial operations and ensure timely reporting to management. Prior experience in accounting, knowledge of Tally or similar software, and attention to detail are essential.
