Regarding the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) position is for a specialized cardiac hospital located at Kilpauk, Chennai—this is a very strategic leadership role, much beyond a regular Nursing Superintendent. - CCU / ICU/ER/Triage/Wards/Cardiology, Gastrology, Nephrology departments.

- Infection prevention
- Ensure adherence to nursing best practices in cardiac care.
3. Nursing Manpower Planning
Plan optimum staffing levels for:
- ICU / CCU/ER
- Ward nursing
- OT nursing
- Emergency services
Manage nurse-patient ratios and skill mix.
4. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Work with HR for:
- Nurse hiring
- Campus recruitment
- Lateral hiring
- Succession planning
- Ensure timely closure of critical vacancies.
5. Training & Competency Development
Drive structured competency programs including:
- BLS / ACLS
- Code Blue drills
- Emergency response
- Ventilator care
- Critical care certification
Develop nurse career progression pathways.
6. Patient Safety & Risk Management
Lead nursing participation in:
- Incident reporting
- Medication safety
- Falls prevention
- Pressure injury prevention
- Sentinel event analysis
Reduce nursing-related clinical risks.

Ensure nursing compliance with:
- NABH

Continuous Nurses Education (CNE)
Preferred Qualification
- M.Sc Nursing (Mandatory)
- PhD in Nursing (Preferred)
- Registration with Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council
- 15–20 years nursing experience
- Minimum 5–8 years in senior leadership role
- Preferably from:
- Cardiac / Neuro /Gastro / Nephro Hospitals
- Tertiary Care Hospitals
- NABH-accredited institutions
