Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mill Wright Fitter to join our Thermal Power Plant maintenance team at Yavatmal, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the installation, maintenance, alignment, overhaul, and troubleshooting of rotating and stationary mechanical equipment in a thermal power plant. Experience in CFBC Boiler systems will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Perform installation, dismantling, alignment, and commissioning of pumps, fans, blowers, gearboxes, conveyors, crushers, mills, and other rotating equipment.
- Overhaul and maintain boiler auxiliary equipment including FD/ID/PA fans, ash handling systems, coal handling equipment, and compressors.
- Execute shaft alignment using dial gauges or laser alignment tools.
- Replace bearings, couplings, seals, bushes, and other mechanical components.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
- Ensure proper lubrication, tightening, and calibration of mechanical assemblies.
- Identify equipment defects and recommend corrective actions to improve plant reliability.
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety regulations during maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with mechanical engineers, supervisors, and operations teams for planned shutdowns and emergency maintenance.
- Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and spare parts consumption.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Required Skills
- Expertise in rotating equipment maintenance.
- Precision alignment and balancing techniques.
- Bearing and gearbox maintenance.
- Welding and fabrication knowledge (preferred).
- Hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance.
- Root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with thermal power plant equipment and shutdown maintenance.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in CFBC Thermal Power Plants.
- Hands-on experience in Coal Handling Plant (CHP) and Ash Handling Plant (AHP) equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and LOTO procedures.
- Ability to work in shifts and attend emergency breakdown maintenance.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
