We are looking for a motivated Process & Quality Chemist to support laboratory operations, quality assurance, and process improvement. This is a hands-on role that offers the opportunity to work across laboratory, manufacturing, and quality functions, with direct exposure to commercial-scale biodiesel production.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, and approve incoming raw materials in accordance with quality standards.
- Conduct laboratory-scale biodiesel production, process development trials, and experiments to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Perform in-process and finished product quality testing in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Support production by translating laboratory findings into manufacturing parameters and monitoring process performance.
- Analyze test results, prepare technical reports, and maintain accurate laboratory and quality records.
- Investigate quality and process deviations, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and operational reliability.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, chemical inventory, and documentation while ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to troubleshoot manufacturing and quality-related issues.
QualificationsEducation
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Petrochemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in biodiesel, renewable fuels, edible oils, petrochemicals, industrial chemical processing, or quality control laboratories is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong laboratory skills, a good academic background, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Skills
- Strong understanding of chemistry, laboratory techniques, and quality control principles.
- Experience with laboratory equipment such as titration setup, viscometer, flash point tester, distillation apparatus, and other analytical instruments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of biodiesel manufacturing processes and applicable quality standards (e.g., IS 15607) will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
