THE TEAK STUDIO (Partner's with Artistique Spaces)
We are a premium furniture design and manufacturing brand dedicated to delivering exceptional, bespoke, and heirloom-quality furniture. With an in-house design studio and a fully equipped manufacturing factory, we handle projects from the initial 3D concept right down to the final delivery. We pride ourselves on flawless craftsmanship, innovative material usage, and seamless execution.
The Role
We are looking for a versatile, highly experienced powerhouse who understands furniture inside out. This isn’t just a desk job. You will be the crucial link connecting our clients, our design studio, and our factory floor.
If you can sketch a beautiful concept, confidently explain the joinery to a client, and then walk into the factory to ensure the production team executes it perfectly—you are exactly who we are looking for.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Technical Development: Translate concepts into detailed, production-ready technical drawings (including section details, joinery, and hardware specifications).
- Factory & Production Oversight: Manage the factory floor workflow. Supervise craftsmen, carpenters, and supervisors to ensure production meets our strict quality, structural integrity, and timeline standards.
- Material Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of premium materials—including solid woods, engineered boards, veneers, metal fabrication, stone/marble integration, and specialized finishes (PU, polishes, etc.).
- Client & Architect Liaison: Present designs and technical solutions directly to HNIs, corporate clients, or architects. Understand their requirements, offer expert material consultations, and manage expectations.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot structural or design challenges on the factory floor before the product is dispatched.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in a furniture manufacturing factory or high-end interior styling/production setup.
- Technical Mastery: Absolute clarity on furniture construction, ergonomics, joinery details, and hardware (Hettich, Blum, etc.).
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (for production drawings) and 3D rendering/modeling software (SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Rhino) to communicate design intent.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong commanding presence to manage factory labor, combined with polished communication skills to handle premium clients.
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Furniture Design, Product Design, Interior Design, or Woodworking Technology (highly preferred, though exceptional portfolio/experience trumps degrees).
What We Offer
- A highly competitive salary package matching your experience and industry standards.
- The creative freedom to work with premium, complex materials and high-end projects.
- A dynamic, collaborative work environment where your impact is visible every single day.
