Design Engineer – Industrial Machinery
Location: Vadodara, Gujarat
Experience: 4–5 Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Design Engineering
CTC: ₹5.0 – ₹8.0 LPA
Industry: Industrial Machinery / Heavy Engineering / Material Handling Equipment
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate 3D models and 2D detailed drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Prepare GA and machinery layout drawings in AutoCAD.
- Convert preliminary sketches and concepts into manufacturing-ready 3D models and technical drawings.
- Prepare detailed, manufacturing and assembly drawings as per project timelines.
- Coordinate with international design teams for design revisions, modifications and approvals.
- Prepare and maintain machine operation, maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
- Review and update assembly layouts and part drawings based on Engineering Change Notes (ECNs).
- Coordinate with Production, QC, Sales and Service teams for design feasibility and implementation.
- Collect technical information from vendors, component catalogues and standard libraries.
- Support R&D activities and provide technical support at customer sites across India when required.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Vault / PDM.
- Good understanding of GD&T, BOM, manufacturing processes and machining allowances.
- Knowledge of P&ID and ISO practices in a design environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering mechanics and material selection.
- Good drawing checking and error identification skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and international teams.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects within strict deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
Candidates with experience in:
- Concrete Batching Plants
- Heavy Machinery
- Material Handling Equipment
- Industrial Equipment / Machinery Manufacturing
Key Requirements:
- 4–5 years of hands-on experience in 3D Modelling and 2D Drafting.
- Experience in industrial machinery/equipment design will be preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and manufacturing-oriented design approach.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites across India as required.
