Job Summary
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality control activities within the chemical manufacturing facility. This role ensures that raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet established quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. The QC Manager leads the laboratory team, implements quality systems, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to maintain product consistency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Quality Control laboratory.
- Ensure testing of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and packaging materials as per approved specifications.
- Develop, review, and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test methods, and quality documentation.
- Monitor laboratory performance and ensure timely release of materials and products.
- Investigate Out-of-Specification (OOS), Out-of-Trend (OOT), customer complaints, and non-conformance issues.
- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and monitor their effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Responsible Care, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Coordinate internal audits, customer audits, and third-party certification audits.
- Ensure calibration, maintenance, and qualification of laboratory instruments.
- Analyze quality trends using statistical tools and recommend process improvements.
- Work closely with Production, R&D, Procurement, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues.
- Manage laboratory inventory, chemicals, reagents, reference standards, and consumables.
- Ensure proper documentation, record retention, and data integrity.
- Lead, mentor, and train QC personnel on laboratory practices and quality systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce quality defects and improve laboratory efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies in the laboratory.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
