Job Overview
We are looking for a creative and skilled Interior Designer to design attractive and functional interior spaces. The candidate will work with clients to understand their requirements, create design concepts, prepare drawings, and coordinate project execution from start to finish.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Planning & Client Consultation
- Meet with clients to understand their design requirements, preferences, and budget.
- Create interior design concepts and space planning solutions.
- Prepare mood boards, layouts, and design presentations.
- Suggest suitable materials, furniture, lighting, colors, and décor items.
Design Development
- Create 2D drawings and 3D designs using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design software.
- Prepare detailed design plans and project specifications.
- Make design revisions based on client feedback.
- Ensure designs are practical, functional, and visually appealing.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Assist in selecting materials and obtaining quotations.
- Ensure smooth communication between clients and project teams.
- Support project planning and execution activities.
Site Visits & Supervision
- Visit project sites to monitor progress and ensure work is completed as per design.
- Check installation of furniture, fixtures, lighting, and other interior elements.
- Resolve design-related issues during project execution.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
Project Management & Reporting
- Prepare project schedules and material requirements.
- Track project progress and meet deadlines.
- Monitor project budgets and report updates to management.
- Maintain project documentation and design records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in Interior Design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS Office, and other design software.
- Good knowledge of space planning, furniture, materials, and interior finishes.
- Strong communication and client handling skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in residential and commercial interior projects.
- Knowledge of 3D visualization and rendering software.
- Strong attention to detail and design aesthetics.
- Good vendor and site coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
