Position: Area Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute area-wise sales strategies to drive business growth.
- Appoint, manage, and strengthen the distributor network while ensuring consistent market expansion.
- Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of the sales team to achieve business objectives.
- Develop business across retail, institutions, corporate accounts, and modern trade.
- Ensure product availability, visibility, and market penetration across all assigned markets.
- Conduct regular market visits to identify growth opportunities, monitor competition, and gather market intelligence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, key accounts, and channel partners.
- Monitor sales performance, collections, stock availability, and ensure timely reporting.
- Collaborate with the management team to execute sales initiatives and promotional activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in field sales, with at least 2 years in a team handling or managerial role.
- Experience in the Beverage (BVG) or FMCG industry will be preferred.
- Proven experience in distributor appointment, channel development, and territory management.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and develop effective market strategies.
- Target-oriented with the ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting.
