About the Role:
We are an expanding structural steel fabrication and construction firm in Lucknow specializing in Prefabricated Building Systems (PEB), industrial sheds, and civil works. We are looking for a hands-on, battle-tested Civil & Structural Site Engineer who can independently bridge the gap between paper drawings and physical ground execution.
In this role, you will take complete ownership of projects from day one—creating drawings, calculating material costs, leading site labor/fabricators, and overseeing civil foundation work.
This is a 50-50 Hybrid Role:
- 50% Drafting & Estimation: 2D/3D layouts, exact Bill of Materials (BOM), steel structural weights, and civil foundation costing.
- 50% Field Execution & Leadership: Site surveys, directing welders/fabricators, supervising civil layout works, and managing labor on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Technical Execution: Create 2D/3D fabrication blueprints, structural details, and civil foundation layouts using AutoCAD or SketchUp.
- BOM & Material Costing: Calculate exact steel tonnage (MS Pipes, Channels, Beams, Gauges) and civil material requirements (concrete, rebar, excavation costs) to prepare zero-wastage estimates.
- Civil & Structural Supervision: Step on-site to direct welders (MIG/TIG checks), fabricators, and civil labor teams. Ensure structural alignment, anchor bolt placements, and civil foundations match drawings perfectly.
- Team Building & Labor Control: Dynamically manage, motivate, and extract quality work from daily labor, welders, and local subcontractors under tight project deadlines.
- Site Visits & Local Purchasing: Conduct physical site surveys in Lucknow and track local steel/civil market prices to keep project costs competitive.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of solid, hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication, PEB sheds, and civil foundation work.
- Civil + Steel Knowledge: Complete understanding of structural steel sections (MS channels, IS 2062, sheet gauges) combined with basic civil construction (concrete grades, footings, land layouts).
- Estimation Capability: Ability to pull out a pen/Excel sheet and independently calculate steel weight, material costs, and labor timelines under short deadlines.
- Mobility (Mandatory): Must own a personal two-wheeler (Bike/Scooter) with a valid driving license for local site visits.
- Location Preference: Candidates permanently settled in or native to Lucknow preferred.
Salary & Benefits:
- Fixed Base: ₹20,000 – ₹22,000 / month (Protects monthly living/fuel costs).
