About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong expertise in database engineering, scalable backend architecture, and high-performance data systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing and managing large-scale backend services with a focus on PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, data pipelines, analytics infrastructure, and distributed systems.
You will work on building robust backend infrastructure capable of handling high-throughput workloads, real-time processing, and complex data operations.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Develop high-performance microservices and distributed systems.
- Build secure, fault-tolerant, and observable backend architectures.
- Optimize application performance and system reliability.
Database Engineering
- Design and manage production-grade PostgreSQL environments.
- Architect and optimize Timescale DB for time-series and analytical workloads.
- Implement indexing strategies, partitioning, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Design schemas for large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets.
- Configure replication, backup, disaster recovery, and failover mechanisms.
Data Infrastructure
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Work with real-time and batch processing systems.
- Develop data ingestion and transformation frameworks.
- Manage high-volume data storage and retrieval systems.
System Architecture
- Design scalable cloud-native architectures.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Ensure high availability and low-latency system performance.
- Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

- Experience handling production workloads at scale.

Pay: ₹450,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
